5 Days in Nice - Côte d'Azur
From 17 to 21 May 2027

In spring 2027, we invite you to travel along the French Riviera, from Nice to Grasse, through Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Vence, Antibes, Vallauris, Le Cannet and Cannes.

The sea, gardens, colorful façades, ports and southern light offer an exceptional setting. But this journey invites us to go further: to look at the Côte d’Azur as a place where the eye learns to see differently — a territory where color, interiors and landscapes helped transform modern and contemporary painting.

Franco-Israeli artist Judith Anis, based in Jerusalem, will accompany this itinerary through places connected to Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, Bonnard and the artists of the Fondation Maeght.

Museums, villages, ports, a chapel, perfumes and sensory walks become ways of entering the creative process from within — through color, line, gesture, sensation and landscape.

A journey to see the Côte d’Azur differently: not as a postcard, but as an experience of painting, perception and creation.

“I must be so deeply immersed in my subject, so steeped in it, that I can draw it with my eyes closed. […] It comes out of me naturally, and then the sign itself becomes noble. […] My work consists in absorbing things. […] At a certain point, it is no longer me; it is a revelation: all I have to do is surrender to it.”
